Does iMessage Share Photo Metadata and Location?
Review photo metadata before sending through Messages and understand the location option in Apple's share workflow.
Why this matters
A conversation recipient may receive associated photo information depending on how the image is shared.
Metadata is separate from the visible scene. Removing it does not hide faces, addresses, reflections, landmarks or text that appears in the image itself.
Use the narrowest tool that solves the problem
Apple's sharing Options screen can turn off Location for that share. It is the fastest native choice when location alone is your concern.
