Safe sharing
Share iPhone photos without location data
The safest assumption is that a file may keep its metadata unless you inspect or remove it before sharing.
A simple workflow
- Select only the photos you plan to share.
- Review location, camera, date and EXIF findings.
- Create separate cleaned copies.
- Share the copies and keep originals untouched.
Do social apps remove metadata?
Different services can process uploads differently, and behavior can change. Preparing a cleaned copy before upload gives you a consistent workflow independent of the destination.
