Remove Date and Time Metadata from an iPhone Photo
Understand capture timestamps on iPhone and create a separate photo copy without the supported capture-date metadata.
Why this matters
A timestamp can reveal when you were at a place even when GPS data is absent.
Metadata is separate from the visible scene. Removing it does not hide faces, addresses, reflections, landmarks or text that appears in the image itself.
Use the narrowest tool that solves the problem
Photos lets you adjust a photo's displayed date and time. Adjusting library information and exporting a file without supported timestamp metadata are different goals.
